Everlasting Education is excited to annouce the Backcountry Trails program! Beginning Fall 2024, we are inviting students ages 8 - 12 to join our exerienced naturliasts on backpacking adventures throughout beautiful California. During these immersive nature-connection experiences, students will learn about the natural and cultural history of the unqiue ecologies that permeate our fascinating state.

The goals of this program include:
- Positive character transformation through challenging boundary-pushing,
- Developing confidence, independence, responsibility, and self-awareness,
- Disconnecting from screens and urban life,
- Connecting with the serenity of nature and everlasting inner-self tranquility,
- Discovering the dramatic natural history of California,
- Come to understand the multiple hisotries or Califonia, including its first people and the subsequent turmoil and technology introduced by Spanish, Mexicans, Americans, and people from all over the world.
- Having a ton of fun with humorous, high-spirited staff and peers,
Participants learn the biocultural history of California as they hike to humanless corners of biodiverse ecological hotspots. They learn proper orienteering and backpacking skills that will allow them to return to these treasured locations again, and again, as guides themselves for family and friends.
